Nov. 6, 2024, Elixxirville–Yes, there’s a desperate need for a viable Third Party in the United States, but it’s certainly not the U.S. Transhumanist Party! Founded in 2014, ten years ago, the U.S. Transhumanist Party apparently has not received even a handful of votes. Certainly not in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election pitting Donald Trump against Kamala Harris.
The authoritative and exhaustive Ballotpedia list of 2024 major and minor presidential candidates and how many votes each candidate received goes from Jill Stein of the Green Party (over half a million votes & 0.4% of the total vote) to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (Independent) (and over half a million votes), to the Libertarian Party (still over half a million votes) to the Party for Socialism & Liberation (98,000 votes) to Cornel West (55,000) to the bottom of the barrel Robert Wells Jr. (352 votes).
But there’s no Transhumanist Party on this list to be found!
The Ballotpedia list is so excruciatingly exhaustive it lists every minor candidate and their party and their vote tally no matter how few, and the Transhumanist Party is still nowhere to be found on this list! Despite the fact that after its “founding” (in a press release?), its founder–driving a school bus around the country claiming to be running for President. admittedly a good stunt–actually got quite a media boomlet.
We can reasonably and fairly conclude, based on the Ballotpedia list, that the U.S. Transhumanist Party received much fewer votes than Robert Wells Jr’s 352 votes which is probably less than what I got in my successful run for my high school student council.
So if you’re hungering for a real third party, don’t waste your vote or time on the U.S. Transhumanist Party. And as far as I can tell, all the other so-called “Transhumanist Parties” have never gotten even a handful of votes. Whether in the United States or Russia or Timbuktu.
If you want a real immortalist party, tell us.
P.S. To the powers that be at the U.S. Transhumanist Party: if Ballotpedia is mistaken and you actually received more than 352 votes, please provide us with the hard evidence, and we will happily correct this article pronto.:)
