New Drug Cures Hepatitis C but Costs up to $100,000; U.S. Gov’t Barred by Bush Law from Negotiating Price!

November 6, 2013–There’s a new wonder drug for Hepatitis C which afflicts millions just in the U.S. and millions more around the world. This new drug can cure Hepatitis C with a one-pill-a-day regimen in as little as 8 weeks, according to a New York Times article.

The only problem? It costs from US$65,000 to US$100,000 or more!

Same story as the HIV cocktails. And yes, same M.O. (modus operandi).

This is what happens whenever Big Pharma (the big pharmaceutical industry) comes out with a drug for a big disease. Instead of making it reasonably-priced since there is a big market which means good profits, the big drug company decides to pig out and gouge the U.S. health care system for all it’s worth.

This is why one should not trust the likes of Ray Kurzweil. Even if Kurzweil in cahoots with Google and Big Pharma were to come up with the lifespan-extending meds or technology which can also slow down our aging, the probability is high that it will cost so much more than this new Hepatitis C medicine.

You can only imagine what that will cost!

And yes they will make “Obamacare” pay for it too, you can bet on that.

Fact 1: Thanks to Bush Jr. and Congress, the U.S. is the only country in the world which has passed a Federal law expressly prohibiting the Federal government from negotiating with big drug companies on the price of drugs to be paid for by Medicare or Medicaid. Yep, it’s the best country in the whole wide world if you’re Big Pharma. Hallelujah.

Fact 2: This price-gouging by Big Pharmaceutical Industry is one of the main reasons why the U.S. spends more per person on health care than any other country in the world. And still leave behind up to almost 50 million Americans without any health insurance. Yes, even under the reforms of so-called “Obamacare.” While most of those Americans with health insurance still have to pay a significant part of their medical expenses and medicines themselves. Nope, the propaganda and mantra that because the U.S. spends more per capita on health care, the U.S. must therefore have the best health care system in the world is not only not true, it is a big fat lie. Just consult the annual WHO (World Health Organization) ranking of different countries’ health care system, and you see that the U.S. ranks almost rock-bottom among the OECD states (i.e. the world’s rich countries). And this is not a mere statistical curiosity, it is a fact which each and every year kills tens of thousands of Americans prematurely. As “Cure Disease, Old Age and Death,” the new fully-revised ImmorTalist Manifesto points out and explains, this is “Systemic Homicide.”
